Josephine Beadle Anderson, 87, of Caseville, died in her home on Monday, March 6, 2006 after a long illness while under hospice care.
Josephine was born February 13, 1919 in Caseville to the late George and Frances (Nicklas) Beadle. She grew up in Caseville and graduated from Bay Port High School. She married Charles J. Anderson of Detroit on November 23, 1939 in St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville. She moved to Detroit and lived there until returning to Caseville in 1971. After retiring, she and her husband spent many winters in Florida and Texas. She was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church and the Caseville American Legion, Jean Post 543. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and knitting.
Josephine is survived by her children Joan Makowski of Florida, George (Ann) of Plymouth, Kathleen (Jerry) Rechul of Lexington, Leona (Ron) Randall of Redford, Michael (Patty) of Florida and Charles Jr. (Pam) of Texas; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; siblings Marion Parent of Caseville, Harold (Betty) Beadle of Georgia, Leona (Fred) Langley of Caseville, Albertus Beadle of Caseville; Francis (Thelma) Beadle of Caseville, Jesse Otto of Pigeon and Herbert (Jean) Beadle of Westland.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2000, son-in-law Aloysuis, brothers William, George and Thomas Beadle and sister Geraldine Parent.
A funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Roch Catholic Church in Caseville with Fr. Ken Yaroch presiding.
Visitation will be 3:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and from 9:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the mass at church. There will be a scripture service at 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or St. Roch Food Pantry.
