Josephine Elliott

Josephine J. Elliott, age 83, passed away at her home on Friday, June 15, 2007 with her loving family by her side. She was born November 3, 1923 in Ferndale, the daughter of the late Langford & Lena (Shaft) Frank. She was united in marriage to Bertrand C. Elliott on January 25, 1947 and they moved to Caro in 1948. As a young woman, Josephine was employed at Michigan Bell as an operator for several years and was later active in the family photo business with her husband. She will be best remembered as a loving wife and mother, and will be missed by her family and many friends. Josephine is survived by five children and their spouses, Michael & Evemarie Elliott of Caro, Kathleen Elliott of Muncie, IN, Maureen Elliott & special friend Michael Abernathy of Bay City, Patrick Olan Elliott of Caro, Kerry & Tim Elenbaum of Mayville; fifteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Beatrice & Keith Brandon of Rochester, MI and many nieces and nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of over 51 years, Bert Elliott on September 19, 1998; a daughter, Corleen Elliott in 1950, one great-grandson in 1999, and eleven brothers and sisters
