Josephine Teers, age 76 years, of Caro, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Covenant Health Care - Harrison in Saginaw. She was born on June 8, 1932 in Huron County to the late Frank and Mary (Purdue) McDonald. The former Josephine McDonald married John Taylor, and he preceded her in death in 1975. She then married Jack Teers, and he preceded her in death in 2002. Josephine lived much of her life in the western United States, a large portion in Rawlins, Wyoming. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Free Methodist faith and a regular contributor and participant in Trinity broadcasting. She loved traveling, rodeos, parades, fireworks, and collecting rings. She is survived by her three daughters, Cathy (Garry) Cox of Caro, Judy Taylor of Marquette and Linda (Lou) Mansfield of Texas; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; her siblings, Frank (Mary Ellen) McDonald of Swartz Creek, Fran (Robert) Jelnek of Suttons Bay, Mary Lou (Kirk) Powers of Bay City and Jim (Jeanette) Hewitt of Ubly. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, infant Ruth, and Jean Rees; and a brother Evans Mc Donald. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. with Christopher K. Taylor facilitating. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Josephine Teers family discretionary fund, c/o Cathy Cox.
