Joshua Chad Heck, 40 of Pigeon, passed away Saturday evening, July 27, 2013 due to injuries he sustained in an automobile accident near Pigeon.
He was born March 13, 1973, the son of Donald and Nancy (Voss) Heck. Joshua was born in Bad Axe and raised in the Pigeon area. He was a Laker graduate.
Joshua was a proud father of Jacob, Christian, Jarid and Taylor, and grandpa to Gunner.
He loved spending time with his family. Wherever Josh went, his boys went. He loved tractor pulls and hunting. Each year he looked forward to harvest time with the Trost brothers.
Joshua was employed by Cooperative Elevator Company as a millwright and previously worked at Huron Castings for a number of years.
He is survived by his sons, Jacob, Christian, and Jarid; grandson, Gunner; his parents, Donald and Nancy Heck of Pigeon; a brother, Jacob Heck of Saginaw; grandmother, Ruth Heck of Pigeon; grandfather, John Gillingham of Pigeon; and many aunts and uncles, cousins, and close friends. Joshua was preceded in death by his son, Taylor; grandparents: Raymond Heck, Robert Voss and Luella Voss-Gillingham.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Cross Lutheran Church, Pigeon, with Rev. Timothy Loehrke, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Grandlawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Cross Lutheran Church or Laker FFA.
