Joy Anne Mentor

Joy Anne Mentor, 67, of Owendale, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Joy was born May 12, 1954 in Mt. Clemens to the late Richard and Sylvia (Chicowski) Kalm. She graduated from Chippewa Valley High School in 1972. Joy worked as a surgical aide at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital and was a bus driver for Richmond Community Schools. She was also a member of the Richmond VFW Auxiliary. She was a lover of all animals, enjoyed camping, and adored and dedicated her life to her children.

She is survived by her daughter Meagan (Jason) Ledgerwood of Waterford and son Mike Mentor (Toria Kanaby) of Owendale; life partner Dave McAuley of Owendale; brother Richard (Darlene) Kalm and sister Cheryl (David) Waters; Pete the goat and Squeaker the dog.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
