Joyce Hetherington

Joyce Hetherington, age 76, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Joyce was born August 16, 1935 in Lansing, the daughter of the late Earl Vernell & Susie Onetia (Silvernail) Campbell. In 1968, she was united in marriage with Donald Hetherington, and cherished her time with him until his death in in 2005. Joyce was employed in the engineering department for GM Pontiac for eighteen years. She was a member of the Caro First Baptist Church and loved reading and traveling. Joyce is survived by one brother and two sisters, Kenneth Campbell of Missouri, Sharon (Raymond) Mervyn of Caro, Donna McDaniel of Caro; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Joyce was preceded in death by three siblings, Carol Koop, Kaye Helzer and William Campbell; and one brother in law, Michael McDaniel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Ronald Wigand officiating. Burial will follow at the East Dayton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro First Baptist Church.
