Joyce K. Janks

Joyce K. Janks of Caro, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at her home, one day short of her 60th wedding anniversary. Joyce was born June 10, 1945 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Theodore and Irene (Horenziak) Roskie. Joyce was employed as a social worker at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community. She was united in marriage with Gary Allen Janks on September 15, 1962 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Throughout their marriage, she also helped milk cows on the family farm. Joyce was an active volunteer with the Tuscola County Pumpkin Festival for more than thirty years. She enjoyed the ability of being able to help others and spent many hours in the kitchen canning, baking and cooking. Joyce enjoyed camping, working in the garden, her flowers and supervising Gary's washing dishes., Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Gary Janks; one daughter, Shelly Dennis and her husband, Bruce, of Caro; one grandson, Randy Allen Dennis of Caro; one great-granddaughter, Payton Robinson. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Ann Baty; one son, Allen Gary Janks; one granddaughter, Emily Dennis; and one sister, Judy Shoup. In keeping with Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
