Judith A. Amon, 79, of Sand Point, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City.
Judy was born February 20, 1937 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Margaret (Harvey) Link. She graduated from Detroit’s Cooley High School in 1955 and then received a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from Wayne State University. On August 25, 1962 she married Robert J. Amon at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Detroit. Judy was a self-employed interior designer. She moved from Romeo to Sand Point in 1995. She was a member of St. Roch/OLPH Catholic Church and involved in charismatic ministry.
She is survived by her husband Robert; children Laura (Larry) Anger of Rochester, Joseph (Jennifer) of North Carolina, Robert (Pam) of Avoca, Leslie (Keith) Milne of Colorado and Lynn (Edward) Kromer of Washington; 11 grandchildren; sisters Barbara Olshove of Florida and Margaret “Peggy” Link of Traverse City and brother Terry (Ellen) Link of Laingsburg.
A funeral mass will be at 10:00am Saturday, July 16th at St. Roch/OLPH Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-8pm Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. There will be rosary at 7:30 Friday at the funeral home. She will lie in-state one hour prior to the mass on Saturday in church. Memorials in her memory may be made to Right to Life of Michigan.
