Judith Lee Bach Dixon, 77, of Sand Point, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024 under the care of her husband.

Judith was born August 10, 1946 in Bad Axe to the late Judge Arthur M. and Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Bach.  She graduated in 1964 as valedictorian of Bad Axe High School and then attended the University of Michigan before transferring to Michigan State University.  On August 18, 1967, she married Michael Ralph Dixon of Pigeon, which was also the day of her parents' 25th wedding anniversary.  After graduating from Michigan State University, both Judith and Michael enrolled in Detroit College of Law (now at Michigan State University), both graduating in 1972.

Upon their graduation, Judith and Michael were engaged in the private practice of law in Northern Lower Michigan until they decided to accept positions with the State of Michigan.

Judith is survived by her husband of 56 years Michael; her daughter Teagan Dixon, her sister Jo Ann (George) Walters and sisters-in-law Barbara B. Dixon and Louise A. Dixon.  She was preceded in death by her parents, father and mother-in-law Ralph and Betty Dixon, and her brother-in-law Peter (Marjorie) Dixon.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday, March 8th at St. John Episcopal Church-Sand Point, Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating.   Burial will be in Caseville Twp Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Friday in church.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
