Judith Ann Haist

Judith Ann Haist, age 82, of Sebewaing, formerly of Bay Port, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 with her family by her side at Satchell Christian Retirement Home on hospice care.

Judith was born in Midland to Leland and Rita (Kirschbaum) Meyer. After graduating from high school, Judith married Lyle "Sparky" Haist on June 29, 1963 in Bay City. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1995. Judith worked for Michigan Sugar Company, starting in the piling grounds then eventually in the warehouse. She was a soccer coach a few years with the AYSO, enjoyed fishing, bowling, sewing, doing ceramics, gardening, and enjoyed watching hummingbirds.

Judith is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Donald) Weisenbach of Sebewaing; grandson, Aaron (girlfriend Amanda Steinbis) Eberlein; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws: Dennis Haist, Gretchen Haist, JoAnn (John) Fichtner and Lois (William) Harcourt; and many nieces and nephews.

Judith is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Leland Meyer.

The visitation and funeral service will all be on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 9am until the time of service at 11:30am/ Brad Haist will be officiating. Burial of her cremains will take place privately at Assembly of God Cemetery in Sebewaing.
