Judith Eileen Johnson, age 66, of Caseville, died at home in her sleep Thursday, June 18, 2009 of complications relating to Parkinson’s disease, in the presence of her family.

Judy was born May 1, 1943 in Detroit. She grew up in Detroit and graduated from St. Gregory High School in 1961. On November 4, 1961 she married Stephen Case Johnson.

Judy attended Oakland University and received her baccalaureate in Human Resources Development. While in college she was a member of the Golden Key Society and a National Merit Scholar. She went on to found her own company, Huron Search Services which performed corporate recruiting, helping many people find employment. A devout child of Christ, social activist, artist, poet, and businesswoman whose life was composed of love and kindness to people and animals alike, and an overwhelming sense of adventure.

She is the beloved wife of Stephen; adored mother of Sheryll (Marty) Twork of Royal Oak and Christopher of Austin, Texas; doting grandmother to Anna and William Twork; daughter of Doris Tull of Fort Myers, Florida; sister of Gerald (Annette) Robbins of Plymouth and Thomas (Lillie) Robbins of Corpus Cristi, Texas; and sister-in-law Barbara Johnson of Caseville.

She was preceded in death by sister Elaine Robbins, and brother-in-law Walter Johnson.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 23 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Port Austin, with Rev. Andrew Booms presiding.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville, and from 10:00 AM Tuesday until the time of the mass at church. There will be a Rosary at 7:00 PM Monday.

Memorials may be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
