Judith Sawyer

Judith Ann Sawyer, age 67 years, of Caro, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at her daughters home in Mason, Michigan. She was born on December 20, 1940 in Millington to the late Wallace Aden and Aleen Marie (Johnson) Osborn. The former Judith Osborn married William H. Sawyer III on June 25, 1960 in Millington. He preceded her in death on September 20, 2006. She had been employed as a clerk at IGA and Rite-Aid in Caro. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and collecting cows. She is survived by three sons and one daughter, Timothy (Allison) Sawyer of Caro, Tom (Bobbi) Sawyer of Gilford, Tanis Lerash of Mason and Terry Sawyer of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren,Christy Jo (Joe) Mularz of Sebewaing, Timothy, Scott, Nichole, Gabriel, Taylor, Sawyer and Cody Lerash; one brother, Bernie Osborn of Millington; one sister, Sue (Tom) Welke of Hemlock; her mother-in-law, Vera Sawyer of Birch Run; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, James Wallace Osborn. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Whipple of Colwood United Brethren in Christ Church officiating. Burial will be at Almer Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation.
