Judith Ann Valentine

August 29, 1941 — January 9, 2014

Judith Valentine, age 73, formerly of Sand Point, gave up the good fight on January 9, 2014. Judy’s cancer, which she fought for more than 40 years, took her life. As Judy passed, she was given a final lick and kiss from her beloved dog, Jeff. When the final goodbyes were said, Judy passed quickly into a place where pain will never touch her again. Family and friends will miss her. Judy was pre-deceased by her husband, Chris Valentine and her daughter, Laura, whose ashes were spread over Lake Huron. Judy is survived by her son, David and his wife, Danielle. She also leaves behind her mother, Mary Harrell, and her sister, Mary Jo Allison and niece, Mary Lynn Wilders. Her very best friend, her love and golf partner, Harvey LeBlanc, was by her side day and night as she passed. She was loved by many. A graduate of MSU and Oakland University, Judy was an accomplished engineer and after retirement, lived part year at Sand Point and in Venice, Florida. She served as the Executive Director of Huron County’s Community Foundation and she was most proud of their launch of the Safe House, a home for abused women. The family requests that donations be made in Judy’s name to the Pointe Aux Barques Lighthouse Society, P.O. Box 97, Port Hope, Mi. 48468
