Judith Elaine Weeks

Judith Elaine Weeks, 85, of Caseville and Naples, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 in Naples, Florida.

Judy was born January 21, 1937 in Detroit to the late Robert T. Jr and Marion (Grier) Adams. Judy attended Cooley High School in Detroit and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Special Education from the University of Michigan. She taught homebound children in Ingham and Macomb County Intermediate School Districts. Amazingly she taught all subjects to students K-12. Judy also taught Adult Literacy and persons of foreign nationalities to speak English as a volunteer after her retirement from teaching. She was editor of her high school newspaper and President of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority while attending the University of Michigan. Judy loved to travel via bus tours and cruises. Judy was most fond of flowers and was happiest when busy in her flower gardens and tending plants in the house. The family lived in Auburn Hills, Rochester and Grand Blanc, Michigan; and Cincinnati and Cleveland, Ohio. During retirement years, Judy and her husband Chuck maintained homes in Grand Blanc, Caseville, Michigan and Naples, Florida.

Judy is survived by her husband Charles Weeks, whom she married June 27, 1959 at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Detroit. Judy is also survived by her son Christopher of Cape Coral, Florida; grandson Stefan; great-grandson Zaiden; granddaughter Alyssa; sister Linda Bishop; cousins Ida Stockmeyer and Janet Heatley; and many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert T. Adams III, sister-in-law Barbara Adams (Schiebler), brother-in-law F. Richard Bishop (Linda), and nephew Robert T. Adams IV.

A memorial service will be 7:00pm Thursday, August 18th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon with Rev. Ean Green officiating. Interment will be in New Bay Port Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7pm on Thursday, August 18th.

In lieu of flowers a gift may be made to the Huron County Safeplace , Bad Axe or a charity of the donor's choice.
