Judy Kay Zagorski

Judy Kay Zagorski of Sand Point left us on March 20, the first day of spring, while enjoying the ocean near Marathon, Florida.

Judy was born on February 21st in Pigeon and recently celebrated her 55th birthday with her marina and campground friends and family.

Judy married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, Steve Zagorski. They celebrated 33 years of marriage before his untimely death in December 2005.
They were very proud parents of Levi and Travis and welcomed daughters-in-law Kristen and Kate. Levi and Kristen gave Judy the privilege of being a Grandma to Stephen Joseph II.

She leaves behind her parents Virgil and Verneta Bouck of Pigeon, siblings Marge Hall, Joyce Miller, Dave and Sue Bouck and Dan and Carla Bouck, many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Judy spent many years cheerfully greeting patients in the dental offices of Dr. Eichler and later Dr. Redwantz. Judy and Steve became the proud operators of Beadle Bay Marina and Campground and delighted in providing a family atmosphere for the many friends they made there. Judy was looking forward to May and the return of her campers and boaters.

Judy was very active in her community, working tirelessly with "Cheeseburger in Caseville" since its inception, with the Chamber of Commerce and the Eagles. She was a long time volunteer with United Hospice and will now be grieved by the many families she helped.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 26th at the Hayes United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Mater officiating.

Visitation will be 3-9 PM Monday and Tuesday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville and from 10 AM Wednesday until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to two of the organizations that were so important to Judy's life: Hayes United Methodist Church (7001 Filion Rd, Pigeon, MI 48755) where she was raised, married and saw her sons married or United Hospice Services (PO Box 307, Marlette, MI 48453) so that other grieving families may be helped.
