Julia Holmes Kieft

Julia Holmes Kieft, age 69, of Bay Port, passed away at her home on July 31, 2021.

Julia was born in Oakland County, Michigan, on September 6, 1951, the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Doerfner) Kieft. She worked many years and retired from the Bay Port Inn. Julia enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and just being outdoors. She also played the guitar and loved reading. Julia was a proud auxiliary member of the Bay Port Fire Department. She absolutely loved the Bay Port community.

Julia is survived by her two sons: Jeffrey (Veronic) Jostock and Jeremy (Carly) Blankenship; sister, Sharon (Cary) Kaiser; brother, Richard Lynn Kieft (late Lin); grandchildren: Savannah Jostock, Justin Jostock; great grandchildren: Holden Jostock-Durst and Aleczander Durst; and nephew, Gerald Kaiser.

Preceded in death by brother, Brian A. Kieft (survived by his wife Karen).

Cremation services have taken place through Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing.
