Julia Alice Van Bevern

Julia A. Van Bevern, age 94, of Unionville, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 21, 2018.

Julia was born on April 1, 1923, to Adiel and Bertha (VanHoov) Vermeersch. She married Cyriel Van Bevern on August 12, 1944, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Unionville. She enjoyed helping her husband on their farm. She also enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, deer hunting, canning, cooking, baking, gardening, reading, watching the Detroit Tigers, and being with her family. She was a member of Our Lady Consolata in Sebewaing.

Julia is survived by her children: Loren (Diane) Van Bevern, Marcia (James) Weber, Bev (friend Frank Machock) Van Bevern and Kay Van Bevern; sister, Madeline Vershore; grandchildren: April (Jon) Hetzner, Jessica (Andy) Krauss, Lucas (Julie) Weber, Nikki Weber, Amber Van Bevern, Jerod (Feather) Reige, Angela Blakely and Kelsey Godinez; 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Our Lady Consolata in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until time of Mass at 11am.

Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Unionville.

Memorial donations may be given to ACW Ambulance or Our Lady Consolata.
