Julie Lynn Helms

Julie Lynn Helms, 57, of Elkton died Friday, April 27, 2018 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.

Julie was born March 6, 1961 in Corona, California to Donald and Audrey (Deming) Plonta.  She attended Laker High School.  She worked as a waitress as the Bay Port Inn.  She enjoyed cats, singing, fishing and playing pool.

Surviving are her sons Shane Sprague of Bay Port and Dylan Helms of Big Rapids; mother Audrey Rinnert of Bad Axe and father Donald Plonta of Oregon House, CA; siblings:  Gloria (George) Boyden of Oregon House, CA, Connie Bradley of Sacremento, CA, and Scott Plonta of Bad Axe.  She was preceded in death by her brother Donald Plonta.

A memorial service will begin at 11:00am Monday, May 7 ^th in the Multi-purpose room at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe with Pastor Mike Goforth of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
