Julieanne M. Martin, age 51, passed away on Christmas Day 2011 at Henry Ford Medical Center Detroit. She was born on December 6, 1960 in Cass City to Viola and William Martin. Julieanne was a 1979 graduate of Caro High School and shortly after graduation she enlisted in the U.S. Navy where she served for 8 years. She was a Religious Specialist 2nd. Rank E5. Julieanne served as a Chapel Management Specialist assigned to Chaplains. While in Japan she climbed Mt. Fuji and experienced other activities in her travels. Upon discharge she worked as a legal secretary and then as a school secretary at Jack Benny Middle School in Waukegan, Illinois. In February of 1997 she returned to Caro where she did private duty care before going to work at Fulton AFC. She had been a member of the Caro Eagles Auxiliary #3587. Her hobby was as a single mother taking care of her four children, bowling, reading, and playing canasta. Surviving Julieanne are four children, Megan Jenkins and Ted Craft, William Jenkins, Brittany Jenkins, and Kelsey Jenkins all of Caro; her three grandchildren, Logan and Paige Carpenter, Hunter Craft all of Caro; her parents, William and Viola Martin of Caro; two sisters, Wendy Martin of Mt. Pleasant and Billie Jo (Ryan) Davies of Caro; several aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Julia Nagy, Leo and Madeline Martin. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday December 29, 2011 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Stebbins, officiating. Burial will follow in the Indianfields Township Cemetery with military honors provided by the Caro V.F.W. Post #4164. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service at 11:00 AM.
