June Ann Schram, age 90, of Pigeon, passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Scheurer Hospital.
June was born in Sebewaing on June 22, 1934, to Harold John Gremel Sr. and Edna Bertha (Dronsella) Gremel. She Graduated from Immanuel Lutheran School in Sebewaing in 1952. She then attended nursing school, becoming a Registered Nurse. She married Jack C. Schram, December 1959, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Together they raised three children. June worked as a nurse for many years and enjoyed caring for her patients. She is the past president of the Women's Auxiliary at Scheurer Hospital. She was also on the zoning commission in Caseville for many years. June enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers, and traveling, seeing most of the National Parks.
June is survived by her 3 children: Alex (Christine) Schram, Erin (Amy) Schram and Gwen Schram; grandchildren: Sharayah and Fiona Schram; siblings: Harold (Marilyn) Gremel, Jr., Ruby Nordrum, Roger (Dorothy) Gremel, Diana (Ken) Weiss, Joyce (David) Bright, Richard (Connie) Gremel, Dennis (Terryanne) Gremel; step siblings: Roger (Arlene) Bachman and Joyce Jahr; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jack; parents: Harold and Edna Gremel; step mother, Mable Bachman-Gremel; sister, Carol Engelhardt; brother, Gary Gremel; brothers-in-law, John Nordrum and Tom Jahr; sisters-in-law: Lillian Gremel and Gail Gremel.
Visitation is Monday, September 16, 2024 at Juengel-Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2pm-7pm.
The Funeral service is Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 7899 Crescent Beach Rd., Pigeon. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Pastor Christopher Suggitt will be officiating.
Burial will take place privately at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI.
Memorial donations may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or the American Heart Association.
