June A. Wescoat-Belleville, age 85, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, following a lingering illness. June was born June 3, 1926 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Owen & Saloma (Fullmer) Broderick. She was united in marriage with Max Wescoat on November 20, 1950 in Gilford, and the couple cherished more than forty years together prior to his death in 1991. She will be remembered first and foremost as a dedicated mother, and was also employed in several capacities throughout her life, including driving a cab in Caro, working at the canning factory and as s sales clerk at Woolworths in Caro. She was a member of the Nazarene faith and the Fairgrove VFW Auxiliary Post #7486. In her spare time, June enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. June is survived by four children and their spouses, Sherry & Richard Duke of Akron, Terry Gorney and his fiance, Linda of Holt, Patsy Russell of Lansing, Max Wescoat of Cass City; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Broderick and his wife, Marilyn of Georgia; one sister, Muriel Hayward of Bay City; and many nieces and nephews. June was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Stevens in 2010; three sisters, Mariam Goold, Helma Kintner and Fern Brown.
