Karen Ann Czubachowski

Karen Ann Czubachowski, age 79, of Sebewaing, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020, at her home under hospice care.

Karen was born April 13, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio, to Casmir and Elsie (Michalak) Witkowski. She married Richard Czubachowski on January 16, 1960 in Toledo, and moved to Sebewaing 48 years ago. Karen worked for Scheurer Hospital and a Certified Nurses Aid for over 30 years. She enjoyed singing, dancing, painting, traveling, watching horse races and was active at her church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Karen had an open door policy and was very generous to those in need.

Karen is survived by her husband, Richard; children: Kevin (Chris) Czubachowski, Margie (Pat) Frazier, Regina (Jon) Collis, Victoria (Rob) Blunt, Denise (Wayne) Simmons and Christopher (Lacie) Czubachowski; 14 grandchildren: Adam and Grace Czubachowski, Alison (Aaron) Rewa, Kristy (Kelly) Morrison, Amanda and Kate Frazier, Bobby Collis, Charles, Jennifer, Heather and Thomas Blunt, Cole and Carly Simmons, and Chloe Czubachowski; and 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, January 13, 2020, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm, with a 7pm Rosary service conducted by the Knights of Columbus #8582.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Our Lady Consolata Catholic Church (Holy Family site) in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 12pm and the service will begin at 1pm.

Burial will be at the church cemetery in Unionville.

Memorial donations may be given to Our Lady Consolata (Holy Family site) or Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care Activity Department.
