Karen Ann Damm (Bond), 78, of Pigeon passed away peacefully at Meadow Lane Assisted Living surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 following a ten year battle with multiple myeloma. Karen was born on February 19, 1947 in Cass City, daughter of the late Charles and Clara (Decker) Bond where she attended Cass City High School. She married Robert Damm on July 24, 1965, recently celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Karen was a homemaker for her three beautiful girls, worked as a seamstress for Eicher Cleaners in the 80’s, and continued sewing from her home for many years. Once her children were older, Karen worked at the Co-Op Elevator in various administrative positions before eventually retiring. Karen is remembered for her delicious cooking, baking, canning skills, and her ability to provide for her family. She was a loving, warm, and nurturing woman who cherished her family.
Karen is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob); children, Teri (Mark) Henry, Tammy (Keith) Kohtz and Christy Damm (Andrew Condor); grandchildren, Cole, Marisa, Mickala (Duncan), Landon (Samantha) and Stefen; sister, Susan Rubey; sister-in-law; Beverly Damm; brothers-in-law James Damm and P. Lynn Hurford; several nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her sister, Bette Lou Hurford; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Arthur Terrill; brother-in-law, Chuck Rubey.
Karen's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, Pigeon followed by a burial at New Bay Port Cemetery, with a luncheon following at the church. Visitation will take place at Ransford Funeral Home in Pigeon on Friday, November 28, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again at church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Pigeon.
