Karen Elaine Hildinger

Karen Elaine Hildinger of Caro, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born April 21, 1941, in Port Huron, the daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Holdburg) Emery. She was a graduate of Caro High School and went on to attend Delta College where she earned her degree as a Registered Nurse. Karen was employed at Saginaw General Hospital and Caro Community Hospital before leaving to raise her family. She was united in marriage with James Henry Hildinger on November 15, 1958 in Caro and after sixty-three years of marriage, he preceded her in death on April 5, 2021. Karen was a member of the Caro Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing cards, gardening, and loved having the time and opportunity to babysit grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are four children and their spouses, Robert & Jessica Hildinger of Troy, Robin & Randy Fader of Caro, Brenda & Chuck Gray of Caro, Aaron & Amie Hildinger of Caro; sixteen grandchildren, Carolina, Veronica, Alexandra, Jeff, Chad, Ashley, Sara, Amanda, Joshua, Charles, Aaron, Jr., Sabrina, Keely, Molly, Maggie, and Macy; twenty-five great-grandchildren with two more expected; one great-great-grandson; and one brother and his wife, Robert & Barbara Emery of Arizona. Funeral services will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 12, 2022, with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro.
