Karen A. Motycka

Karen A. Motycka, age 62, of Caseville, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at her home while under hospice care.

Karen was born December 8, 1945 in Detroit to the late Arthur and Dorothy (Merrill) Carlson. She grew up and attended school in Royal Oak. On January 7, 1966 she married Richard A. Motycka in Detroit. She lived many years in Clinton Township before moving to Caseville permanently in 2004. Crafting of all different kinds was one of her favorite hobbies, and she enjoyed watching animals and nature from her home on Wild Fowl Bay.

Surviving are her husband Richard, daughter Tammy of Chicago and brother Dennis (Anna) Carlson of Long Beach, California.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 27th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Chaplin Darlene Kuenzli of Heartland Hospice officiating. Burial will be in Grandlawn Cemetery in Pigeon.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the local hospice of your choice.
