Karla Sue Wagner

God welcomed another angel in heaven on Sunday, April 6, 2025, while surrounded by her loved ones. Karla “with a K” was 78 years young when she passed away. She was born on October 26, 1946 in Lapeer, the daughter of the late Carl and Mary (Smith) Jackson. Karla “with a K” loved traveling, quilting, riding motorcycles, camping, watching wildlife, and her fur babies. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Northwood University.

Karla was the wife of David Wagner, married on April 15, 1976; and the mother to Michelle Turner, Susan Schmeckebier, and Kristie (Kevin) Begeman; grandma to John, Tristan, Andrew, Wicked, Nichole and Alexander; sister to Phyllis (Dave) Kuenzil, Dave (Nancy) Jackson, and John (Abby) Jackson; aunt to Stacey, Jeff, Rebecca, Josh and Ben. She also had many adopted children who loved her like their own mother. She was a dear friend to many.

Karla will be dearly missed. Goodbye and love you until we meet again our beautiful angel.

In keeping with Karla’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Kuntzman officiating. Karla’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m.
