Kathleen H. Marker, age 95, of Sebewaing, formerly of Unionville, was called home to heaven on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Vadavilla AFC Home in Unionville. Kathleen was born June 12, 1918 in Unionville, the daughter of Gustave and Nellie (Parsell) Wildner. She graduated from Unionville High School. On October 18, 1936, she married Henry Marker. They were married for 68 years before he passed away on October 26, 2004.
Kathleen enjoyed living in the Unionville-Sebewaing area all her life. She was a lifetime member of the Sebewaing American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 293. She was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing, where she taught Sunday school. Kathleen worked 20 campaigns at the Michigan Sugar Factory in Sebewaing.
She is survived by her daughter, Fern (Gary) Cosens; granddaughter, Tracey (Gerald) Hunter; grandson, Eric (Rachel) Cosen; 8 great grandchildren; and nephew, William (Sally) Wildner.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry; siblings: Randolph Wildner, Cecil Ziegler, Dorothy Walk, and Leota Hornbacher.
Visitation will be Friday, June 28, 2013 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 3-8pm.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to Bay Shore Camp or Trinity United Methodist Church.
