Kathryn Louise Eisengruber

Kathryn (Kay) Eisengruber of Sebewaing passed away on Thursday April 18, 2019 at the age of 80 years old after a short stay in McLaren Hospital in Bay City, MI.  She was the daughter of the late Philip and Kathleen Walker of Elkton, MI.

Kay was married to the late James (Jim) Eisengruber of Sebewaing and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2014.  She was the proud mother of 6 boys.  Joe and Moe (McCormick) Eisengruber of Sebewaing, Mike and Sue (Gremel) Eisengruber of Sebewaing, Tom and Ann Marie (Faustin) Eisengruber of Sebewaing, Tim and Jennie (Clawson) Eisengruber of Auburn, Indiana, Greg and Christina (Brandel) Eisengruber of Saginaw, and Chris Eisengruber of Sebewaing.

Kay had been employed in her earlier years in the office of the Sebewaing Industries, then later came home to raise her family, and then was employed at the Unionville Sebewaing Area Schools as the food service director for many years.  She enjoyed spending her time with family, taking in all of her children's sporting events, reading, cooking, and planning large family gatherings. She was also chairperson of the Michigan Sugar Festival for many years.  She enjoyed playing games and especially liked to play cards with her daughter's in law.

Kay was a member of Our Lady Consolata (Holy Family) Parish in Sebewaing and was active in the Women's Circle.  She also maintained a close relationship with a small group of ladies whom she regularly attended Bible study with; and will deeply be missed by this faithful group of friends.

She is survived by her 3 brothers and 2 sisters.  Jerry and Nancy Walker of Harbor Springs, Jim and the late Delores Walker of Imlay City, Mick and Jackie Walker of Frankenmuth, Mary and Bernie Nelson of Saginaw, and Linda and Bob Rittenger of California.  She is also survived by her 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Kay was preceded in death by infant great grand-daughter, Harli Rose.   Kay will be sadly missed by all.

Kay will be at the Juengel Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing on Monday April 22, 2019 and the family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral will take place on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at the Our Lady Consolata (Holy Family) Church in Sebewaing with a showing at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will take place immediately following the service for immediate family.  A funeral luncheon will be provided by the Women's Circle immediately following the service and all guests are encouraged to stay and share time with the family.

Memorials can be made to the family's discretion, Sebewaing Township Library, or the Our Lady Consolata (Holy Family) Building Fund.
