Kathryn Grace "Katie" Gazlay, 41, of Bay Port, passed from this life into the arms of her Savior on Monday, April 15, 2024.

Katie was born on April 30, 1982 in Marinette, Wisconsin to the late Arthur and Linda (Roach) Anderson and raised in Menominee, Michigan where she graduated from Menominee High School. She then attended Northern Michigan University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and met her future husband, Garret Gazlay. They were married on April 29, 2006 at Marquette Missionary Church. In 2022 the couple relocated to Bay Port, Michigan to begin their ministry at Elkton Missionary Church. Katie enjoyed board games, audio books, movies and time with her girlfriends. She had a passion for the power found in the truth of the scriptures.

Katie is survived by her husband Garret, their faithful dog, Toby, 3 brothers Ben, Eric and Tim Anderson, father and mother-in-law Alan and Carla (Smith) Gazlay, sisters-in-law Gretchen (Clayton) Schutter and Bridget Gazlay as well as aunts, uncles, niece and nephews and many cherished friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be at 11:00am Thursday, April 18th at Elkton Missionary Church with Rev. Paul Holcroft officiating.  Friends may begin gathering at church after 10:00am.

Memorials may be made to Elkton Missionary Church or Positive Alternatives of Bad Axe.
