Kathryn Em Kingsrud

Kathryn Em Kingsrud, 79, of Pigeon, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Country Gardens Assisted Living in Pigeon.

Kathy was born May 19, 1943 in Fargo, North Dakota to the late Ralph and Lillian (Hanson) Kingsrud. She graduated in 1961 from Fargo Central High School and received her Masters Degree from University of North Dakota. In 1968 she moved to Huron County to take a job as a speech pathologist. She retired from the Huron Intermediate School District in 2001. She was a former member of Scenic Golf Course where she was club champion. She enjoyed traveling by motorcycle, boating and her beloved pets.

Kathy is survived by her husband Jerry Adams; daughters Amy Trom and Heather Hoonhout; step-daughters Michelle (Ron) Bergman and Stacey (Randy) Cutler; granddaughters Kayla, Erin, Kate, Meaghan, and Maureen; great-grandchildren Carter, McKenna, and Sage; and sister Nancy Stannard. She was preceded in death by her brother David.

A memorial service will be at 5:00pm Wednesday, April 12th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating. Visitation will begin at Noon and continue until the time of the service.
