Kathy L. Champagne

Kathy L. Champagne, age 60, of Owendale, passed away at her home with her family by her side, December 7, 2025.

Kathy was born in Cass City on May 31, 1965, to Charles Grant Pringle and Marjorie (Wright) Pringle. She graduated from Cass City High School in 1983. On June 15, 1985, she married Edmund Champagne at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Kathy worked for 33 years at the Huron Behavioral Health Office, retiring to babysit for her grandchildren. She was a member of the Novesta Church of Christ in Cass City. Kathy enjoyed scrapbooking, being with her grandchildren, was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Lions, Tigers and Michigan State, and enjoyed having family over for holidays.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Edmund; children: Grant (Kayla) Champagne and Hunter (Lindsey) Champagne; grandchildren: Harper, Maximilian, Madden, Grace and Hudson; brother, Gary (Gloria) Pringle and sister-in-law, Roberta Pringle.

Kathy is preceded in death by her dad, Charles Grant Pringle; mother, Marjorie Gage; step father, Charles Gage; and brother, Ronald Pringle.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Friday, December 12, 2025 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. Officiating will be Brad Speirs from Novesta Church of Christ.

Memorial donations may be given to Bay Shore Camp.
