Kathy Marie Strieter

Kathy Marie Strieter, age 62, of Unionville, passed away, Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at Covenant-Harrison Hospital in Saginaw.

Kathy was born September 10, 1956, in Bay City, to Cyriel and Laura (Belski) Vermeersch. She graduated from Unionville-Sebewaing Area High School Class of 1974. After High School, she received her Cosmetology License and did hair for the residents at the Tuscola County Medical care Facility and well as drove school bus for Akron-Fairgrove Schools. She was a member of Our Lady Consolata Catholic Church-Holy Family site in Sebewaing and was a past member of the Unionville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed heading up the Christmas Children's Program at the American Legion, sang in the Community Choir, enjoyed bowling, Halloween, flowers and gardening.

Kathy is survived by her mother, Laura Vermeersch; fiancé, Bob Hodder of Sebewaing; children: Tracey Strieter of Bay City, Deana (Chuck) Arnold of Katy, TX, Kyle (Jennifer) Strieter of Unionville and Samantha "Sammy" Strieter of Unionville; grandchildren: Cole Strieter, Kadence Arnold, Ashlynn Arnold, Yitayal Arnold, Jordan Dionne-Jaworski and Laney Strieter; siblings and their spouses: Lonnie and Alice Vermeersch, Valerie and Pat Conachan, Mike and Lisa Vermeersch, and Salli Vermeersch; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Kathy is preceded in death by her father, Cyriel "Doc" Vermeersch; brother, Kelly Vermeersch, sister, Julie Vermeersch, and infant brother, Ricky Vermeersch.

A memorial service has been planned for a later date.
