Kay Petiprin

Kay Petiprin of Caro, age 80, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017 at St. Mary's of Michigan in Saginaw. Kay was born October 1, 1936 in Lupton, the daughter of the late Robert and Marion (Harding) Conway. She was a graduate of Fairgrove High School and salutatorian of her class. On May 3, 1958, she was united in marriage with Alfred Petiprin at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Kay was employed as the secretary for the MSU Extension Service in Caro, until her retirement. She was an active member of St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro. Kay enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, Suduko, card club, making Christmas ornaments, and especially Saturday night family card night. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of fifty-nine years, Alfred Petiprin; her children and their spouses, Mark & Lynne Petiprin, Anne & Matt Foley, Rita & Jim Hepfer, all of Caro, Joan & Darryl McCloy of Akron, Susan & Gene Ellison of Reese, Sarah & Dean Szagesh, Leah & Doug Dinsmore, all of Vassar, Lena Keipinger (John) of Paragould, Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandsons; one brother, Ceil Conway of Essexville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, John in 2014, and a stillborn son, Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro with Rev. Jerzy Dobosz officiating. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
