Kaye Susan Harrison

Kaye Susan (Engel) Harrison of Warren, formerly of Harbor Beach, passed away peacefully in her son’s home in Warren surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the age of 85. Kaye was born on July 27, 1940, in Kinde, Michigan, to the late August “Barney” and Elvera (Herman) Engel and was a 1958 graduate of North Huron High School. Her greatest passion in life was her beloved family; she raised four children and treasured the time she was able to spend with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kaye married Jack Harrison in July of 1991 and the couple were inseparable. They were members of the Bad Axe Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #2358 and spent time together playing Euchre and traveling all around the Thumb. Jack preceded her in death in 2009. Kaye loved knitting and cooking, as well as spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids. She made friends everywhere she went and would often be found chatting away with strangers as she made the rounds at Walmart. Kaye had an almost indescribable nature and was full of love for the beautiful family she raised.

Kaye is survived by children, Brad (Dawn) Anderson, Sheri Sauro, Dave Anderson, and Frederick “Rick” (Becky) Anderson; ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren; as well as many other family members, friends, and countless cats that she kept the company of throughout the years.

In addition to her husband, Jack, Kaye was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Frank Sauro.

In accordance with Kaye’s wishes, cremation is to take place. A private family graveside service will be held at Colfax Township Cemetery where she will be inurned with Jack. Memorial contributions may be made to the Macomb County Humane Society.
