Keith Edward Tedford

Keith Edward Tedford of Caro, age 73, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Keith was born September 13, 1943, the son of the late Lester "Bus" and Irene (Gates) Tedford. He was united in marriage with his high school sweetheart, the former Sharron TerBush, and she preceded him in death. He has been married to Shirley (Phillips) Tedford for the past twelve years. Keith was employed as an oiler for General Motors for more than twenty-eight years, retiring in 1989. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his vegetable garden, eating, sleeping and watching cowboy movies on TV. Keith attended the Watrousville United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, Brian Tedford of Minnesota, Angela & Mike Maasch of Lapeer, Marvin Tedford and his fiance, Donna, of Mayville; step-children and their spouses, Dan & Veronica Dowling of Brown City, Dallas & Terri Dowling of White Cloud, Jassen & Deanna Dowling of Charlotte, Sherry & Tim Channell of Virginia; grandchildren, Casey & Fred Figlock of Imlay City, Kaylee Rowbotham of Mayville, Anthony Maasch of Lapeer, Cooper Tedford of Montana; great-grandson, Freddie Figlock of Imlay City; step-grandchildren, Trisha, William, Justin & Lucy, and Daniel Dowling, Grace, Delton, Trenton and Tyler Dowling; sister, Marilyn & Justin Campbell of Fairgrove; brothers, Gordon & Donna Tedford of Vassar, Don Tedford of Bay City; sister-in-law, Barbara Tedford of Reese; brother-in-law, Dell Willson of Millington; many nieces and nephews, and special fishing buddy, Brian Wagner. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley (German) Willson; and brothers, Harley & Walla Tedford and Jerry Tedford. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. In keeping with Keith's wishes, cremation will follow the service.
