Kenneth N. Beckrow, Sr.

Kenneth N. Beckrow, Sr. of Mayville, age 79, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at McLaren Lapeer Region. Ken was born July 5, 1943 in Vassar, the son of the late Wilmer and Gladys (Gamet) Beckrow. He grew up in Millington and graduated from high school there with the class of 1961. Shortly after graduating, Ken began a career with General Motors at the Delphi Plant in Saginaw, retiring after thirty-five years of service to the company. Never one to sit for long, he enjoyed several jobs even in retirement. Ken was an outdoorsman at heart, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. Hell be remembered as a man who could fix anything and a true jack of all trades who built a home for his family. He loved his Corvette and time spent with his large family. Ken leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Fay Beckrow of Mayville; five children and their spouses, Kenneth & Donna Beckrow II of Fox Lake, Wisconsin, Debra & David Friday of Caro, Donald Beckrow (Shannon) of Fox Lake, Wisconsin, Ronald & Elizabeth Beckrow of Caro, Roy & Pam Beckrow of Caro; daughter-in-law, Tina Beckrow of Florida; stepson, Matthew Wesley Bay of Clare; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother and his wife, Wilmer & Nancy Beckrow; two sisters, Janet Riness and Betty Holcomb; sister-in-law, Helen Beckrow of Pigeon; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Beckrow on May 11, 2009; son, Keith Beckrow; three grandchildren, Lillian, Fawna, and Faith; and two brothers, Norman and Dick Beckrow. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow later in the day at North Grove Cemetery in Mayville.
