Kenneth Charles Bennett

Kenneth Charles Bennett of Vassar, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at his home. He was born October 30, 1955 in Detroit, the son of the late Lemuel L. and Jessie M. (Branson) Bennett. Ken was united in marriage with the former Christine McDannel on April 20, 1990 in Lucas County, Ohio. He was owner/operator of Bennett Welding where he worked as a welder and pipe fitter. Ken enjoyed golfing, hunting, billiards, racing stock cars, and most importantly, spending time with his grandson, Ethan. Ken is survived by his wife, Christine Bennett of Vassar; four children, April Bennett-Osborn and her life partner, Heather Osborn, Kenneth Bennett, Jr., Marychristine Bennett and Joanmarie Bennett; one grandson, Ethan "Lil Mac" Bennett; one sister-in-law, Joann Bennett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Carol Bennett and one brother, John Bennett. The family will receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
