Ken proudly served in the United States Navy from August 16, 1969, to May 22, 1973. He served aboard the USS Saint Paul as a Marine Mechanic and served during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, Ken made his career as a diesel mechanic, working for Mack Truck in Garden City, Michigan, before eventually retiring from a small repair shop in Wolverine, Michigan. His mechanical abilities and lifelong love of working on vehicles were reflected in both his career and his personal interests. Ken was also actively involved in his community and served as president of the Jaycees of Garden City. This leadership role was another part of his life and the contributions he made beyond his work and military service.

Ken had a way of bringing laughter into a room and making ordinary moments a little more enjoyable.
