Kenneth Fowler of Pigeon, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Ken was born September 12, 1934 and raised in Detroit and was a graduate of Cass Technical High School. He served in the Air Force Reserves and was then drafted into the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany for two years. Ken retired from Ford Motor Company, Tractor Design Engineering, as a technical specialist after thirty-five years. He then began a second career, retiring after ten years from American Sunroof as director of manufacturing. Ken and his wife, Julia, resided in Shelby Township until retiring to Sand Point in 2004. He was a member of the Elks Club Farmington Hills Lodge, and enjoyed boating, yard work and spending quality time with family. Ken is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Julia O. (Breeland) Fowler of Pigeon; three children and their spouses, Kenneth & Kathleen Fowler, Kathleen & William Terry, Linda Ha; grandchildren, Lorielle, Brandenn, Krystenn, Bill, Kelly, Scott, Avery, Jack; great-grandchildren, Makenna, Harper, Jordyn, Benjamin, Elliott, Kensley and Lincoln; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Fowler, brothers-in-law, James and John Breeland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Verna (Leonard) Fowler; brother, Donald H. Fowler; and loving granddaughter, Mellissa K. Fowler. In keeping with Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place.
