Kenneth Darrell Hall, age 58, of Caro, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2008 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw. He was born on February 25, 1950 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Forrest and Bertha (Merrills) Hall. He attended South High School in Grand Rapids and graduated high school. He then joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. Upon his honorable discharge in 1970, he came to Caro and remained here for the rest of his life. From 1983 until his retirement in 2003, he was an active member of the U. S. Army Reserve. On April 21, 1979, he married the former Deborah Buschbacher. For the last six years, he was employed as a mechanic with the U.S. Army Reserve. Ken was an amateur radio operator and a member of the Fairgrove Fire Department and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Hall; four children, Richard (Heather) Hall of Caro, twin sons : Jordan and Brandon Hall and Stephanie Hall, all at home; three grandchildren, Alexander, Rachel and Sean Hall, all of Caro; his siblings, Linda Hall of Woodstock, Georgia, Paul (Deborah) Hall of Hart, Bruce Hall of Grand Rapids and Vickie (Chris) McKenna of Jasper, Georgia; his in-laws, Donna and Carl Hiser of Caro; as well as several nieces and nephews and many close friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Hall; and a nephew, Christopher Buschbacher. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Cameron Steele officiating. Burial will be at Ellington Township Cemetery under the auspices of Caro V.F.W. Post #4164 and the United States Army. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Caro on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Paul Lutheran Church.
