Kenneth "Ken" P. Weiss

Kenneth “Ken” P. Weiss, 89, of Capac, formerly of Ubly passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with his family by his side. Ken was born on February 14, 1936, in Port Hope, Michigan, to the late Herman and Amelia (Woodke) Weiss. He married the former Rosalie Stapleton on April 25, 1959, in Harbor Beach. She preceded him in death on October 24, 2023. Ken proudly served in the United States Coast Guard from his enlistment in 1959 until his retirement in 1979. He enjoyed quiet time at home watching TV and doing Sudoku puzzles and especially enjoyed a home cooked meal. The Farmer’s Tavern was his favorite place to go when he wanted to get out of the house, and he loved to play Kino there.

Ken is survived by his loving daughter, Carole (Steven) Lewthwaite; and granddaughters, Sarah Lewthwaite and Naomi (Luke) Tubia; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Ken was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Jr. and Robert; two grandsons, Daniel and Timothy Lewthwaite; sisters, Jeanette Weiss, Janice Weiss, Shelva (Alvin) Finkle, Betty (Wilber) Eggert, Helen (Arnold) Schave, and Phyllis (Richard) Haggerty.

In accordance with Ken’s wishes, cremation is to take place.
