Kenneth Merle Mcnett

Kenneth Merle McNett of Caro, formerly of Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro at the age of 82. Ken was born March 21, 1934 in Orange Township, Ohio, the son of the late Clinton Harrison & Myrtle Marie (Colber) McNett. He attended Romulus High School and enlisted with the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1953 to 1956, and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant following his service in Korea. On March 30, 1957, Ken was united in marriage with the former Evelyn Mae Clark at the Avondale Wesleyan Methodist Church in Wayne, and she preceded him in death. Ken retired as a supervisor for the City of Wayne Department of Public Works. He was a longtime member of the Wesleyan Church and recently attended the Caro Church of the Nazarene with family. Ken's life revolved around his family and he will be remembered for his abiding kindness and compassion. Left to cherish his memory are three children and their spouses, John & Pamela McNett of Petersburg, Rev. Paul & Susan McNett of Caro, Nancy & Dale Ewing of Fremont, Ohio; grandchildren, Paul, Jr., Matthew, Michele and her husband, Cody, Mark, Anna, and Margaret; great-grandchildren, Lauralee, Noah, Katelynn, and Cody, Jr.; one brother and his wife, Philip & Libby McNett of Houghton Lake; brother-in-law, John D. Clark; sister-in-law, Jean Peterson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, Ken was preceded in death by two brothers, Clinton and Emery McNett. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Caro Church of the Nazarene with Revs. Paul McNett and Cody Rhode officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider contributions to the Caro Church of the Nazarene.
