Kenneth J. Rasmussen

Kenneth J. Rasmussen , age 89, of Sebewaing, passed away November 18, 2021 in the comfort of his home.

Kenneth was born April 4, 1932 in Grant Township to Elgin and Reva (Summers) Rasmussen. He attended Gagetown Elementary and Junior High Schools until he had to quit in 8 ^th grade to help on the family farm. He married Maureen Graves on June 17, 1949. He and his wife co-owned Rasmussen Transport. One of his favorite things to do was haul milk, retiring at the age of 79. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing.

Kenneth is survived by his children: Denise (David) Arndt of Saginaw, Brenda (Don) Hofmeister of Sebewaing, Dennis (Debbie) Rasmussen of Cass City, David (Dinah) Rasmussen of Elkton, Nancy (Benjamin) Arnst of Spring, TX, Janette Nitz of Sebewaing, and Curt (Bethanne Bowles) Rasmussen of Cass City; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Rasmussen; and many nieces and nephews.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maureen; son, Dean Rasmussen; and brother, Elgin (Verna) Rasmussen, Jr.

A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service where stories and memories can be shared. Pastor Heather Nowak will be officiating.

Burial has taken place privately at Silverlawn Cemetery.
