Kenneth Smith

Kenneth Smith of Caro, age 68, passed away at his home on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, following lingering health problems. Ken was born July 23, 1951 in Flushing, the son of the late Clayton Wilbur and Eva Mae (Stinger) Smith, and graduated from Brown City High School. While on a hayride in Flushing, Ken met the love of his life, the former Mary McConnell. The couple were united in marriage on July 25, 1970 in Maryland, and she survives. While living in Maryland, Ken was employed doing security work, and after returning to Michigan, worked at Ford Motor Company for approximately ten years. Ken attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, and enjoyed playing guitar and collecting toy cars. Ken is survived by his loving wife of forty-nine years, Mary Smith; one son, Ken Smith and his wife, Amy; three grandchildren, Tiffany, Chris and Daniel; three great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Sansa and Sacha; and his beloved companion, his toy Chihuahua, Taco. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by one daughter, Juanita; one sister, Debra; and one brother, Ronald. In keeping with Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
