Kenneth William Stover

Kenneth William Stover of Caro, age 90, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. Ken was born May 24, 1932, in Kings Mills, Michigan, the third of four children born to the late Fred & Marguerite (Scherin) Stover. He was united in marriage with Joan Lippowiths on January 22, 1988, and the couple has cherished over forty years together. Ken worked for Marlette Mobile Homes for twenty-eight years until the plant closure led he and Joan to relocate to Conroe, Texas. While there, they were both employed by Texas Mobile Housing. Ken and Joan returned to Michigan in 1989, and both began careers with Tuscola Behavioral Health Systems until their retirement in 2000. Ken also worked part-time in maintenance at Indianfields Township Park in Caro. He and Joan were avid bowlers and enjoyed traveling for tournaments and leisure throughout the United States. He was a faithful member of the Caro United Methodist Church for over thirty-three years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joan; two children and their spouses, Ann & Rick Jenkins of Florida, Susan & Gary Myers of Gagetown; stepdaughter, Rochelle Nesbitt of Caro; two siblings and their spouses, Gerald & Connie Stover, Judy & Roland Armstrong; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by one son, William Kenneth Stover; two stepchildren, Mark and Scott Bastian; two brothers and their spouses, Daniel & Kelda Stover, Cecil & Dorothy Stover. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at the Caro United Methodist Church with Rev. David Wichert officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Caro United Methodist Church.
