Kent M. Rheinheimer, age 52 of Caro formerly of Pigeon, died Friday evening, September 17, at the family cottage in Alpena while under the loving care of his family hospice care.
He was born February 10, 1958 in Pigeon to Mildred (Albrecht) Rheinheimer and the late Maynard Rheinheimer. Kent grew up in the Pigeon area and was a 1976 graduate of Laker High School.
On October 1, 1994, he was united in marriage to Debra Cummings in Caseville.
He had been employed at Active Homes in Marlette until it closed. He and Deb co-own a flower shop in Caseville until he took a position with Midwest Life Savers as the Reservation Coordinator until his health declined.
Kent enjoyed hunting and fishing. He truly loved being up north with his family, where he took walks in the wild, enjoying nature all the while.
Surviving are his wife, Deb; 2 daughters, Candelien Erskine of Lansing and Amber (Mark) Kelley of Caro; six grandchildren, Skyla, Kieren, Summer, Stacia, Lennon and Storm E' his mother, Mildred Rheinheimer of Pigeon; his brother, Terry (Jill) Rheinheimer of Ann Arbor; his aunt Greta Albrecht of Pigeon and two nieces, Kristin and Alissa.
There will be no visitation or public services. The family would like him to be remembered as man with "a great and loving heart, who helped many people".
Always and forever, his gentleness will not be forgotten.
