Kevin Dale Loeffler, 64, of Gagetown, Michigan, passed away on November 4, 2024. He was born on November 7, 1959, in Bay City to Gerald and Joyce Loeffler of Gagetown.
He is survived by his son Derek (Alyssa) Sugden of Raleigh, NC; mother Joyce Loeffler of Gagetown; brothers and sisters: Tim (Pam) of Camano Island, WA, Sherry (John) of Marlette, Kim of Gagetown, and Shana (Mike) of Sarasota, FL; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald.
Kevin was known for his strong convictions, unwavering determination, and held an independent spirit. He possessed quiet strength and a deep sense of loyalty. He was fiercely devoted to his son, Derek.
He was equally dedicated to his work and was employed with Autokiniton, formerly Tower Automotive in Elkton. A man of skill and precision, he found satisfaction in working with his hands in repairing farm machinery and tinkering with cars. He balanced his work life by spending time outdoors snowmobiling and four-wheeling on various trails throughout Michigan. He also enjoyed cheering on Michigan’s sports teams.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his dedication to his favorite brands of farm equipment, namely Oliver and Allis-Chalmers tractors along with Dodge vehicles. He loved the color “orange” and that was reflected in the clothes he wore and the vehicles or equipment he drove.
Private funeral services will be at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing with burial in the Grant Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Salem Lutheran Church or the Thumb Octagon Barn Agricultural Museum.
