Kevin Thomas O'Kelly

Kevin Thomas O'Kelly of Caro, age 47, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer. Kevin was born April 27, 1974 in Bay City, the son of Cheryl (McCoon) O'Kelly and the late Robert Paul O'Kelly. He attended Caro High School and spent over fourteen years with Lyon Gear in Rochester as a CNC operator. Kevin was united in marriage with Vanessa Huizar on July 15, 2000 in Caro and the couple has cherished more than twenty-one years together. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, motocross, and even cutting the grass. He also had a deep love for music, especially when he could play guitar with his son, Justin. Kevin was a devoted family man and especially adored his granddaughter, Alice. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Vanessa; two children, Justin O'Kelly of Bay City, Kayla Vandecar of Caro; granddaughter, Alice Erla of Caro; his mother, Cheryl O'Kelly of Caro; siblings, Marla Carpenter, Ashley Graves and her husband, Dan; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Robert Paul O'Kelly in 2019. Private family services are being planned.
