Kevin Michael Theisen of Caro, age 58, passed away at his home on Friday, January 10, 2025. He was born January 21, 1966 in Inkster, the son of the late Donald R. Theisen and Colleen L. (Oakes) Theisen. Kevin attended Caro High School and graduated with the Class of 1984. Following high school, he furthered his education at Central Michigan University where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science followed by his Master's degree in Information Systems Management from Walden University.
Kevin began his career at PwC while residing in Chicago. He often traveled for work and lived in Switzerland for a period of time while on assignment. During his time there, he was delighted to share the experience with his mother and aunt, creating cherished memories of what became a wonderful trip for all. He continued to work for many years and then relocated to Caro to assist and care for his mother until her passing in 2021.
Kevin had many hobbies and interests including motorcycles, playing guitar, music, and traveling, but more so than anything else, he loved photography and spending time with his family. He was always ready with his camera at family gatherings, graduations, or to simply document life. He was the "go-to" guy for anyone in the family having computer issues. Kevin had an amazing sense of humor and was always good for a joke or a lively debate with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
Left to cherish Kevin’s memory are his brother, Keith (Kathie) Theisen; sisters, Kerrie (Brian) Hollifield and Kathleen (Bill) Hudek; nieces, Emma and Arin Theisen; nephews, Gabriel and Connor Hollifield, and Will and Brady Hudek; and great-nephews, James and Hudson Hollifield. Kevin is also survived by his aunts, uncle, and many cousins who were more like extended siblings.
In keeping with Kevin’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at the Caro Moose Lodge from 12:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. A Time of Remembrance will take place at 12:30 p.m. with a luncheon following. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family, c/o Keith Theisen, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723.
