Kinsey King Hazard

Kinsey K. Hazard, 81, of Bad Axe, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at McLaren Thumb Region Hospital in Bad Axe.

Kinsey was born October 7, 1943 in Huron County to the late William and Catherine (Devroye) Hazard.  He married Phyllis Fibranz on July 23, 1964 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville; she preceded him in death on November 4, 2022.

Kinsey retired from Elkton Roofing and Siding.  He was a member of Century Oaks Golf Course, Thumb Bowling Association and the Two-Cylinder Club.  He enjoyed making woodcrafts and time spent with his family.

Kinsey is survived by his daughter Susan (Robert) Klemmer of Bad Axe; grandchildren Breanna, Zoe, Amanda, Mya and Faith; great-grandchildren Wyatt, Ellena and Zarina; brothers Don (Bev) Hazard of Bad Axe and Russ (Erma) Hazard of Bad Axe; and sister-in-law Judy Hazard.  He was preceded in death by his son Matthew and brother Bruce.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Saturday, December 7th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ean Green officiating.  Entombment will be in Colfax Twp Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
